Tony and Lorene of Crafty Cider have planted 9 different varieties of English and French cider apples on their farm in the Kunama Valley, near the village of Batlow NSW in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Read more about their story here.

English and French cider apples both produce a cider that is rich in colour and flavour. Tony is a big fan of English style cider. He wanted to produce something similar, but also something that was unique to Crafty Cider. He did a lot of tasting before he knew what he needed to do.

In 2015 Tony traveled to England to study at Peter Mitchell’s Cider Academy. He tasted a lot more cider… and his passion for cider making grew.

Crafty Cider opened its cellar door in 2019 and produced 2000 litres into two different styles of cider. In 2020, there are 6 uniquely different styles exclusive to Crafty Cider and production has tripled. Crafty Cider will always be a small boutique cidery. Everything is handmade, the way cider should be.

Tony and Lorene welcome visitors to their Crafty Cider Cellar Door which is open each weekend from 11am to 4pm. Taste their cider, have a chat and pack your car full with your new favourite cider.

Crafty Cider also shares its home with SMART Animal Sanctuary . There are plenty of interesting animals roaming the paddocks around Crafty Cider - camels, horses donkeys, all sorts of chickens, alpacas, goats and more.

Drop in, pat a camel and become a Crafty Cider fan.

We aim is to produce the best cider possible.
